Mined Music | Twin Souls, A True Sonic Ascension
If music is meant to move you, “Twin Souls” doesn’t just move — it ascends. The latest offering from Mined Music, in collaboration with the ethereal Miss Geist and Zimbabwean rap phenom Amvis, is nothing short of celestial. This track isn’t just a song — it’s a genre-blending transcendence that deserves to be dropped into a Fast & Furious chase or the closing credits of an emotionally epic film.
The moment Twin Souls hits play, you’re submerged in an atmosphere that feels… not of this world. Imagine a beam of light cutting through fog on a mountaintop — that’s the energy here. Mined Music, the German-based producer with roots in jazz, reggae, and glitch hop, once again shows his unmatched versatility. The beat pulses with a deep 4-on-the-floor house rhythm, while airy synths and real bass and guitar licks weave a lush, cinematic vibe that both grounds and lifts.
On what inspired the record, Mined Music had this to share:
“The sound was inspired by chill out Beach music, produced during the cold Winter months looking while looking forward to the upcoming Thailand Trip.” – Mined Music
The half-english, half-german producer has been smithing records in a multiplicity of genres for years now. With over 35 years of experience, Mined Music’s journey began at the piano and evolved through jazz big bands, German hip hop, reggae, and glitch hop collectives. After studying music arrangement and audio engineering, he developed a deep command of both live and electronic sound. Now producing under the moniker Mined Music, his work reflects a mastery of genre fusion — layering organic instruments with analog synths and samples to craft emotionally rich soundscapes. His music isn’t bound by rules; it’s driven by instinct, always aiming to capture raw, unfiltered feeling in every bar.
When asked about the meaning behind his stage name, he had a very spiritual response:
“Mined” suggests digging deep — like mining for gold, diamonds, or hidden treasures. Music extracted from deep within — the soul, emotions, subconscious, or lived experience. Music that is discovered, unearthed, or excavated — not just created, but found inside. I don’t just create music — I unearth it. Every sound, every lyric, every silence is a fragment of something buried deep inside. Mined Music is the excavation of soul, memory, love, pain, and healing. It’s not just what I feel — it’s what I find, hidden beneath the noise. I dig through the layers of life and spirit to offer something raw, rare, and real. This is more than sound — this is treasure from the depths. And it also has my initials MIchael NEwell” – Mined Music
But what really elevates Twin Souls into another realm is the vocal chemistry. Miss Geist, the LA-based vocalist, delivers angelic refrains that feel like prayers in motion — pure dopamine for the soul. Her voice doesn’t just sing; it floats. Then enters Amvis, whose bars ride the beat with an effortless flow that’s part Afrobeat finesse, part rap confidence, all heart. The interplay between his grounded, deliberate delivery and her soaring vocals creates a balance that mirrors the very concept of twin souls: destined, mirrored, connected.
Lyrically, the song is steeped in spiritual romanticism, a poetic ode to the feeling that some bonds are written in the stars. “Twin Souls” isn’t about fleeting love — it’s about soul-level connection, a kind of cosmic resonance that echoes across lifetimes.
There’s a maturity in the mix — every synth pad, every ambient swell, every chord change is precise without being sterile. It’s the kind of production that rewards headphones but slaps in a club. The whole track is proof of what happens when you refuse to be bound by genre and instead trust the vibe.
For his next moves, Mined Music has new singles and remixes being released over the coming months. He has a new record on the way titled “Been A While” featuring Miss Geist and Houston Rapepr Keybeaux. The release is being managed by Green Tea Distro and is scheduled for release on July 3rd.
