Jayy Queezy | ‘Zoothie’ feat. Fetty Wap and Jay Bone Liven Chicago
If you haven’t heard of 23-year-old Chicago rapper Jayy Queezy, come up out from under that rock. Emerging at the forefront of the Chicago New Wave movement Jayy Queezy drew heavy influence from Atlanta’s poppin’ trap scene around 2016 before opening his horizon, adapting soul and melody from EDM and R&B.
Throwing back to Jayy Queezy’s 2018 release, ‘Zoothie‘, ft. Fetty Wap and Jay Bone you can hear the diversity of influence, with that heavy delivery derived from trap mixed with wavy, tuned vocals over the bass-driven synths and iconic 808 high hats.
Since Zoothie, Jay Queezy has been heating up with a string of singles showcasing the young Chi-Town emcee’s glow up. His ability to consistently release music while not sacrificing quality of sound is what will push him through the door inevitably.
