Arquel – “Kellogg’s” | Multi-Talented Musician, Producer, and now Rapper
Arquel is a true multitalented creative. With an introduction to music by his parents at a young age, picking up an instrument was a natural part of the artist’s upbringing. After learning how to play a few instruments, and mastering the drums, Arquel decided to learn how to produce music.
The Nashville based artist began producing while living with his friends attending college. Arquel saw himself as a Dr. Dre figure, producing the music of his closest friends. He did not stop there though, he decided to give it a shot at his own bars, creating his latest song, “Kellogg’s“.
This artist has a unique blend of musical inspirations, growing up with salsa, bachata, rock, and hip-hop. He considers artists such as Mac Miller (RIP), Joey Bada$$, and Foo Fighters as influences in his music upbringing.
The self produced track consists of quick rhythmic bars and a blend of chill beats and a soft guitar sample. The smooth track is to be seen as “food for thought”, as the artist explains life in his head and the thoughts that go on daily, then reflecting on how that may make him feel. Fun Fact is the artist’s favorite food is Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes and even mentions it in his record as, “bowl of zen”. The artist successfully creates the image for listeners through his bars to see Arquel eating his comfort food while writing Kellogg’s, just as the cover art suggests.
