Dread Zoe | ‘Late Introduction’ EP PREMIERE
North Miami rapper, Dread Zoe runs the urban area with precautions, especially if a hundred blue faces or sensual women are involved. Granted, his mixtape, Late Introduction gives more insight as to why, breakups he’s endured, and goes in-depth about his 24/7 grind. After all, he has come straight out the mud and doesn’t want anyone getting stuck in it.
Besides this, Late Introduction comes heavy with Zoe’s no-nonsense attitude over trap-inspired beats. Additionally, the money infatuated emcee slathers his Southern twang to stress how important it is to seize the days ahead! If we’re being honest, tomorrow isn’t promised and it’s best to live everyday in accordance.
Notable tracks like “One of One,” “Done,” and “Seen It All,” summarize this notion to a tee. “One of One,” carries a bouncy 808 and says “Everybody fighting’ demons, you ain’t the only one.” His song, “Seen It All,” on the other hand, has a self-explanatory moniker and lets it lead way on the beat selection. Production-wise “Seen It All” has an eerie, aggressive trap feel that demands you to come correct before assuming otherwise. Aside from repping Florida heavy, Late Introduction evokes true emotion and looks into the North Miami Lifestyle.
Dread Zoe’s moniker stems from his Jamaican decent and his hometown of North Miami, which is heavily influenced by Haitian culture. He grew up with these two groups being allies, but against all odds grew a bond with them that last til this day. His alliance allows his name to hold weight in the North Miami street.
Zoe recalls the day his passion snapped into action, “I was going through a breakup. I was hurt and I called up my boys and said, ‘Book me a studio session I got some shit I want to get off my chest.’ Going to the studio changed my life forever I always loved music but I never knew I would fall in love with making music. Now every day I wake up, I look forward to music. It is funny how they say it’s a thin line between love and hate, because I hate what had to lose to find what I love!”
