Sadboymanii | ‘3/30/03’ EP, New York’s Sad Boy Rap Heir
Sad Boy Rap Influenced
Sad boy rap is in full bloom with recent moguls like Juice WRLD & Lil Peep paving the way. Those deceased legends left a path to follow, and Sadboymanii from New York is heir to the throne. His most recent EP ‘3/3/30‘ captures the aura of vulnerability and emotional trauma in an alluring manner.
The intro to his project opens up with ‘Graveyard’ which lulls on the back of an acoustic guitar that leads behind sizzling hi-hats. Sadboymanii’s smooth vocals are a carrier for pain and pleasure. Throughout the song he reminisces about a past relationship that left him scarred. Only in this case, Sadboymanii is controlling the floor by deadening that relationship whole heartedly, hence the title ‘Graveyard’
‘My heart is buried in the graveyard. My heart is dead.’
Another hand picked favorite from the project is ‘Feel The Same’. It’s an absolute sad boy banger. This kid really has a classic voice for instilling the feeling of heart-break, and word dances so well around the line. Rap Fiesta loves artists that can infuse their pain into a record, and Sadboymanii possesses that ability.
