Floss Money | ‘Houndin’
Floss Money‘s single “Houndin” is an upbeat celebration of success.
Floss Money is a 28-year-old artist from the Upper West Side. He is also an entrepreneur with a clothing brand called “Free Me From the Trap.” “Free Me From the Trap” is worn by celebrities such as Jay Critch, Slayter, and A Boogie. He uses his social media platforms to help promote fellow entrepreneurs and artists.
“Free Me From the Trap” is a phrase with a lot of meaning behind it.
Floss Money states “Free me from the trap is a message to aware the youth and culture that selling drugs or anything that holds you back from being great isn’t the way of life. We promote all talents as far as musicians, artists, videographers, podcast hosts, painters, dancers, dog breeders, music engineers, and I also run a free fitness group Monday through Friday as my contribution back to society and our supporters.”
His music influences include Master P and Cam’ron. “Houndin'” has a strong New York sound with a trap beat feel. Unlike the typical drill sound that has been coming out of Brooklyn the past year, Floss Money’s Houndin’ has more of a bounce to it. You can hear the influence of Master P. Master P was able to create an aggressive flow with a melodic quality to it that made his records fun to listen to.
Floss Money also is able to create a variety in his flow throughout the song which is another important quality to have when creating hit records.
