Pres ft. Baby Phace | ‘Fast Lane’

Fresh out of the southwest suburbs of Chicago is dedicated and talented hip-hop artist, Pres. The gifted rapper doesn’t miss, and this track just proves that even more.  The perfect anthem for speed racing through life, “Fast Lane” will make you feel like you’re going 120 in a 60. He’s no rookie to the music game—Pres has been making music for 3 years now always coming with the illustrious production and head-turning flows.

Pres enlisted one of his go-to producers, Homage, to bring the heat on this upbeat hip-hop record. The two come together to paint the vivid picture of what it feels like to be living in the fast lane, determined to reach your goals and arrive at your destination. He also got fellow rapper Baby Phace to hop on this one, for a collaboration you didn’t know you needed. Baby Phace adds the perfect contrast with vocals tendencies that weave through the beat like a fighter jet gliding through the clouds. The two of them together bring contagious energy that will have you undeniably bopping your head and blasting this one with the windows down.

We reached out to Pres to tell us more about what inspired this banger and here’s what he had to say “One of the things that I missed most while being away at school was my car. Not because I couldn’t go places, but because it’s my favorite place to listen to music. I’m always the guy in the beat up car playing their music obnoxiously loud, this is that type of song that would have me going crazy!”

Make no mistake, Pres is not the type of artist you can just put in a box. Although the title suggests that he stays living in the fast lane, his ability to switch flows so effortlessly at 1:51 lets us know that he refuses to be boxed into just one lane, and one lane only. The midwesterner has unparalleled versatility and is always pushing boundaries and not letting one singular genre define him.

He let us in on some inside info about his upcoming releases, and believe us when we say it’s only going up from here. His next drop is more of a soulful/inspirational song called “Star” which will be dropping very soon.
