When you think about hip hop and Kentucky, the names that come to mind are Bryson Tiller, Jack Harlow or Static Major. Well now you can add one more to your list; His name is Morgan Seales, a rising independent rap artist out of Mt. Sterling.
After two years of on and off recording, Morgan has rededicated himself to music. In his recent single release, “Too Hard,” Morgan gives us a glimpse into his hustle and motivation and lets us know he’s here to stay.
Inspired by MF Doom and Logic, Morgan Seales creates “Too Hard” with a lyrically gifted flow layered on the perfect accompanying beat. As the first words roll off his tongue, we already see Morgan share his apathy for materialism and violence, explaining that they don’t play an integral role in his life.

Hip hop is most definitely painted as a picture filled with drugs, violence and ignorance, and too many artists, it seems like it is a golden ticket to success and prosperity in music. But Morgan doesn’t buy into this system. The only thing he ever “killed” was the beat.
