Vctraa | One Time, Sweet Glimmery Hip Hop
Freshly grown from the drill scene comes the flower from the concrete. Vctraa hails from Chicago, and her latest single ‘One Time’ illuminates a glow like a summer sun at the crack of dawn. Her voice is translucent and aura untouchable. This song will truly make you feel like your floating, and vctraa’s airy vocals are the propellant. With ‘One Time’ being less than 2 minutes, she’s playing her listeners hand at getting that replay button stuck.
With a vocal that blends so seamlessly with the bouncy production, you’ll be keen to hear her soul-ripping harmonies bend through the synth in sizeable fashion. Her bread and butter lie within her ability to sing playfully and unleash bars that carry a hint of nonchalance. You won’t hear snappy verses kin to Techn9ne, as she leans more on the side of Starrah on that G-Eazy track ‘Order More. Here at Rap Fiesta we wanted to know what sparked the creation for this record, and we were lucky enough to get word from Vctraa as she told us this,
I didn’t necessarily have an inspiration when working on my single “One Time”. It was more of a vision, and that vision was to create turn up song for people to listen to when pre-gaming for a night out. Listening to “One Time” makes you feel like a bad bitch, you just start feeling yourself. It’s a bad bitch anthem. – Vctraa
What’s even more enticing than her creamy vocals, is the fact that she produced this record. Not many artists can write their own songs, let alone produce their own tracks. To have a package deal like that is hard to come by, and if she sticks in that route of self-sufficiency, we envision many dollar signs along the way for her. You know whats even more impressive than the fact she produced and recorded that song? It was a freestyle. Yup, you heard that right. Who do you know doing freestyling bangers on their own beats? Our guess is Not many. With a knack for impressing, Rap Fiesta wanted to know how this inquisitiveness for production arose and Vctraa was not shy in letting us know,
I’ve been playing guitar for about 11-12 years and I picked up piano about 4 years ago. I started producing and recording my own music about a year and a half ago.
With a bright future ahead of her, Vctraa is planning on collaborating with more talent and getting her name out by performing post-COVID. She has a highly anticipated record dropping with Thela Gvng dropping soon, but until then- ‘One Time’ will have to hold you over. Follow her on Instagram to stay tuned with her latest drops.
