ClearLanes | Box Freestyle, Absolutely Insatiable Energy
Fresh out of the Forth Worth Metroplex is a rhyme spitter with a murderous flow. ClearLanes body bags the beat with 2 minutes and 36 seconds of pure lyrical slaughter on ‘Box Freestyle’. It’s a bold move to tackle the hottest record of 2019 by means of the hit single from Roddy Ricch, but ClearLanes welcomes the challenge and does not disappoint. His energy is effusive on this record, and his bars are consciously fire.

ClearLanes hops on the beat with emphatic energy and what stands out more than his snarky verses is his articulateness in his release. He’s snapping off aggressively, but you can hear and feel every single bar spit out from his mouthpiece. A lot of rappers will spit aggressively but won’t be able to harness that lion power, but the Texas rapper is controlling every bar he lets go. He doesn’t waste a bar and it sounds like he’s got people to prove on this record. His pen game is truly illustrious, as he word paints all over the production and provides vivid imagery of the lyrics he’s displaying.
Particularly, when he was discussing crossing over the competition like MJ, and mixing in images of faith while praising God and shining on his haters- you will be able to picture that in your psyche. His pen game is a gift, and the track is not only a banger it’s soulful. What’s even more impressive than the fact he can snap off at any moment, is that he can do it without cursing. That’s the mark of a truly talented lyricist. He doesn’t need to hide behind filler words or swear words that many other rappers in today’s game make their mark on. ClearLanes has his mind and soul clear, and his pen ravenous on this record. Rap Fiesta wanted to know where the inspiration for a name like ClearLanes came from, and we were lucky enough to get insight on the rapper’s clear faith in God and belief in divine power. The name is faith-based off scripture. Proverbs 3:5-6. That through trial & tribulation God is a way maker, path straightener, empowered by our faith that he will essentially clear a lane “ClearLanes”.
