Miyachi | “Good Night Roppongi (feat. P-Lo)”
New York-based Japanese American rapper, Miyachi, is still basking in all the glory from his 2019 project, Wakarimasen. Being notated an album that “blends hip-hop sensibilities with East and West,” by HYPEBEAST, the lyricist built on this good recognition by releasing “Good Night Roppongi (feat P-Lo).”
Miyachi’s newest track, “Good Night Roppongi (feat P-Lo),” is a hip-hop offering with lullaby arrangements, hi-hats, and kick-snares. The lyrics at hand see Miyachi smitten over a woman who “lookin like Pocahontas.” He also unveils that the feeling is mutual. Presumably, his stardom has something to do with it.
“See she could tell that I’m a dope child/But tryin to dig in bigger pockets/She’s seen the blue check on my profile/She knows its connected to commas,” he delivers.

Elsewhere, Miyachi details how he’d like to pamper her, saying, “I’m gonna wash you with soap.”
His feature, P-Lo, matches his energy as he raps about staying on his P’s and Q’s. The emcee also spits about his unwavering focus, drip, ways with women, and moments where he gets loose.
Out in Japan, I make goals ay/Still I cannot break code, ay/Bathing ape for my coat, ay,” he raps along with, “bad lil’ thing call me papa.”
Before his verse ends, P-Lo showcases his optimistic attitude towards achieving his dreams, saying, “with time I get better, I know I can’t let up.”
Vocally, the two crossover between a singsong and bouncy cadence. “Good Night Roppongi” is assisted by a visual that centers on the adventures of the animated versions of P-Lo and Miyachi. At one point, they’re even warped into a mysterious world while using the bathroom.
