Moizenvelli | “Gravity”, Miami’s Renaissance Artist
Miami rapper Moizenvelli recently dropped off his latest single “Gravity” ft. Amaury Love, that was inspired by the weight of the world & personal hardships the multi-talented artist has had to endure. Moizenvelli isn’t only well-versed in the musicality sense, but he’s also an artist in the truest sense of the word. He’s equally skilled at crafting verses, as he is in creating vividly appealing paintings. He’s crafted & delivered hand-painted pieces for notable artists such as Gudda Gudda, and Lil Twist– and this is only the start of what seems to be a multi-faceted launching pad for the artist.
On his latest record “Gravity”, Moizenvelli word paints illustrious verses that bring the listener into his headspace. He infuses passion in every syllable & opens up vulnerabilities to the trials he’s had to endure on his come up. With a swift verse that transitions beautifully into a slow-sounding drop, it sets the scene for Amaury Love to shine. The duo wonderfully executed in cohesion to deliver a deeply perforating record in an exciting fashion.
It seems as if Moizenvelli has both fields of artistry working for him, and with this double talent, we were lucky enough at Rap Fiesta to link up with the artist to find out where the journey began. He told us,
“Mannnnn… I did my first drawing when I was three. Ima put it as simple as this. When the Tarzan movie came out in 1999 all I can remember was seeing the cover & saying “I want to draw that”. & I remember picking up a paper & pencil & being up for hours tryna get it right. I been doing art ever since.” – Moizenvelli
Moizenvelli also provided insight onto how his musical journey began, and how cultural Hip-Hop TV played a role in his come-up,
“The music came about a little later. Around 2003, I was 8. I had already heard rap before but it never caught my full attention yet, I was more into sports. Plus my peoples would almost never play rap, feel me? They Cuban. But one day my old boy had MTV on & “In Da Club” came on by 50 Cent. I remember being so inspired by the song & the video, that I started watching MTV & BET more than anything else waiting for the music videos to come on. After hearing it a couple times I said “I want to make a song like that”. That’s when I wrote my first rap. At 8.”
With more songs and paintings on the way, it seems the renaissance man isn’t slowing down any time soon. Moizenvelli told Rap Fiesta we can expect a lot more artwork for notable people coming soon and a brand new single “Checkmate” dropping shortly. With an album en route for next year & a ton more in store to see from the Florida artist, it’s safe to say success is nearby. If “Gravity” is any hint of what we can expect next, it’s safe to say there is a lot more heat on the way. Be sure to follow Moizenvelli on Instagram here for more awesome artwork & bangers.
