Superstar Rah | “Smoke Session”, A Raw Tale of Coming Up
I love listening to a song that has substance. When someone talks about their specific experiences, but still makes their music relatable, they are not only a great lyricist, but a great storyteller. Superstar Rah’s new song “Smoke Session” isn’t just a catchy song. This song has depth, emotion, and a solid feeling of authenticity from the artist.
From beginning to end, Superstar Rah was speaking his truth. This was the first song I heard by him, and it was the perfect introduction to his body of work. Listening through his catalogue I was nothing less than impressed. “Smoke Session” goes in depth about Superstar Rah’s upbringing and his drive for success. When Rap Fiesta spoke with SuperStar Rah, he told us he is from the “Boogie Down Bronx” and explained growing up he had to pray he made it home safely. We can see how he talks about the way he grew up effecting who he is today when he said,

There are several other elements, such as a guitar riff that are mixed harmoniously together. Superstar Rah’s vocals remain in the front of the mix, followed by the drums which really guide the song. Overall, this track is filled with passion, pain, and spirit.
