Jaya YC | “Positive”, Hyper-Pop With Uplifting Message
In a time where copycats try to capitalize on trends, Jaya YC out of Los Angeles is capitalizing on his own sound with the release of his latest record, “Positive”. Having battled Stevens-Johnson Syndrome in the midst of a global pandemic, the rhyme-smith penned a high-spirited, hyper pop record centered around keeping faith & excelling in poor situations, no matter the outcome. It’s this positive mindset (no pun intended) intertwined with a commitment to an original sound that birthed the exuberant record, “Positive”.
The Yvng Dee produced beat is filled with rattling hi-hats & synths that make you feel as if you are in an arcade universe experiencing a combination of unique sounds you are not kin to. It’s difficult to compare the production of “Positive” to past known records, as the two were set on unique creation and achieved just that. Jaya enters the realm of lucid sounds with a free-flowing chorus that captures the aura of hope. With far-reaching notes that grab your attention and sit in the depths of your mind, Jaya YC sets up his verses and locks you in for the roller-coaster ride.
“Stay positive, I’m going numb”
His lyrics indicate that through any trial, Jaya will find his way into maintaining his balance. As a by-product, listeners will feel this contagious love Jaya possesses and won’t be able to help feeling uplifted by his latest record. As were his intentions, he’s successfully achieved a tension-releasing record while diving into this particular sound for the first time on his upcoming project, “The Sad Tapes”
With a kindling record to ablaze his success trail, “Purpose” is one of many records to follow. He plans to drop another record “Here Now” this upcoming summer produced by Crash and finish up “The Sad Tapes” with highly coveted engineers Green Tea Studios for listeners to enjoy every where. Be sure to follow Jaya YC on Instagram now & stay in tune with his journey.
