Ghouls Flat | “Sorry That We’re Late,” Diverse Creative Stretch
Musical collective Ghouls Flat delivers a soul-stirring, expressive project with the group’s latest release, “Sorry That We’re Late.” The three-track project is on an entirely different level regarding complex beats, emotional expression, and creativity.

The members of Ghouls Flat have been making music for several years. For DayDreme$ and yobwoc, they have about four years of experience pouring creative energy into their music. Braja has been crafting clever beats since high school. Although Braja wasn’t into sharing his talents initially, the artist eventually began sharing his gifts with the world.
Ghouls Flat’s stage name has a special and rather funny origin. ‘Guul’ was the name of one of the member’s landlords, where the band began creating music.

Every song on “Sorry That We’re Late” is a heater in its own way. The first track, “Prada,” has an emo-rap, dark feel with a Juice WRLD-like feel. yobwoc is the featured rapper on the song and delivers a series of eerie vocal runs over an ominous beat.
The song is inspired by all the moments I wish I had more time to give, yobwoc, regarding the inspiration behind the song, ‘Prada.’
The vibes quickly shift with the second track, “Favorite,” highlighting DayDreme$ and Braja. After a theatrical introduction, Ghouls Flat delivers a funky, hypnotizing vibe packed with energy. Happiness floods through the beat and the lyrical structure throughout the entire song. It’s a good vibe track you have to play if you’re feeling a little down.
My favorite person, my ride or die, my soulmate. I knew a present for her birthday could be anything, but it wouldn’t be special enough for her, DayDreme$, regarding the inspiration for ‘Favorite.’
The last song on “Sorry That We’re Late” is “Harry & Sally.” This three-and-a-half-minute love song reflects Braja’s homage to his favorite rom-com. The track features romantic, quick-moving bars over a lowkey rhythm that lulls you into a state of tranquility. “Hary & Sally” hits especially hard if you have that special someone in your life.
