AlphaPatron | “The Impact”, 2021’s Anthem Album
AlphaPatron out of Lake Stevens, Washington is putting on for his hometown with the release of “The Impact” dropping right on New Years Day. The 10-track album is blessed with a sleek variety of sounds & features that compliment the overall soundscape of AlphaPatron’s artistry. With features from Atlas, Bantu Boii and Carson West to name a few, the album is a bundle of lucid sounds for you to take in lusciously. There’s a huge throwback type of feel on some of these records and we absolutely love it.
“Couldn’t buy no food because my card declined”
On “Elevate”, the second that beat hits your eardrums you’ll feel like you’re floating. As soon as Alpha’s vocals enter the scene you’ll feel like things are falling in place. His bars on this are inspiring and he covers trials of being broke & messages on overcoming those struggles. The next track “A Moonlight’s Groove” is a total 180 from the previous, and in a great way. This one is straight groovy with no features where AlphaPatron showcases his versatility on a pop-rap tip. It has to be one of the strongest off “The Impact” and that is a lofty statement.
We love when artists delve into other genres & AlphaPatron is doing it well with a heater of a chorus to lead the way. He’s no stranger to switching it up and on “My Language” featuring Bantu Boii he continuously shows that he can’t be boxed in, as he spits this one in an entirely different language. This joint goes hard and has a large female appeal that is sure to get some hips moving.
There’s a lot to love on this record and for every boom-bap, pop, and Caribbean vibe he throws on “The Impact”- he’s got something else up his sleeve waiting in rotation. In “A Letter To My Father”, Alpha Patron gets deep and introspective. It’s a heavy record where Alpha Patron opens the door wide open into his personal life. He’s caught wondering with lyrics that mull over thoughts of a hard childhood while getting into the thick of things with his father.
He’s not a stranger to controversy, and more yet he knows how to turn that into a multiplicity of inspiration to take from. We wanted to know what inspired Alpha’s start into the music game, and he told Rap Fiesta,
“Started my junior year of high school but first started playing instruments and songs for fun at the age of 5… Being in an African family, listening to a wider range of music, and simply my life stories and experiences [inspired me]” – Alpha Patron
With “The Impact” surely giving us more than we bargained for, it’s beautiful to listen from front to back. There’s a ton of replayable records on and they all flow illustriously. You’ll be able to feel every bar & melody that AlphaPatron gifts to our ears, and you’ll surely be replaying for more of that feeling.
In terms of what’s next, there are more projects in store. Alpha plans on dropping an RnB/Acoustic album in the fall, and more hits on an EP in the summer. You can expect some music videos to come from the album, and if the sound is any inclination on what we can expect later, the visuals are sure to impress. For now, you’ll want to follow AlphaPatron on Instagram and stream “The Impact” on your favorite streaming platform.
