We got in touch with Big Mexiko in regards to the source of inspiration that resulted in “Back In Blood (Freestyle)” and he told Rap Fiesta,
“What inspired my Freestyle to Back In Blood was just me needing to release something because I had gone a long while without releasing music. I like doing remixes to bigger artist songs to show people that i can actually rap. It was supposed to be just a simple freestyle but once I got on the beat I demolished it. When I recorded my verse I actually messed up a couple times and got off beat usually I would go back in the booth and fix it but i thought since it was a Freestyle I want it to be raw and unedited. When I released the track the feedback was amazing. I didn’t expect the response that I got, everyone loves it. Its one of the best songs I’ve released so far and its just a Freestyle. ” – Big Mexiko
The simple fact that Big Mexiko freestyled this is no small feat. The track is cohesive, well-put together and flows with fluidity that will impress upon listening.
Having been making music on and off for 10 years, Big Mexiko doesn’t plan on slowing his role anytime soon. The half Mexican rapper, hence the Mexiko moniker in his stage name, is ready to pierce the ATL music scene & establish his presents amongst the greats. When asked about his future plans, he peeled back a bit of the curtain for us to peer into- but still preserved his essence,
“I can’t tell you all my plans , I don’t wana spoil em. But my main goals for right now are just building a strong core” – Big Mexiko
