Bobby Fishscale | “Huncho Fishscale (feat. Quavo)”
Bobby Fishscale and Quavo reflect on their efforts to become financially secure in “Huncho Fishscale.” Given the lyrical context, it’s apparent that the rappers put in the work to make their dreams a reality. The duo spits fire-emoji bars over a dark Migos-esque beat.
Quavo thinks back to his prior money schemes, saying he always found a way to make a buck.
He spits in the chorus,
“Momma never kicked me out (Momma)/’Cause my bankroll was too neat/And I always paid the bills/And I always kept it street/I was kickin’ doors and trappin’/Way before I rapped on beats.”
Bobby Fishscale expresses the same hustle mentality. In his verse, he opens up about his former side hustles. Also, the Roc Nation signee speaks about obtaining that same go-getter mentality. Nothing can get in the way of his money-making methods.
He raps, “When I was 19, I bet that was the first time I seen a hunnit.” Elsewhere he says, “But really, I just get to the money/I was really selling pounds of bricks/Before I grabbed a mic/Drive off with that dope/You ain’t getting no money back.”
“Huncho Fishscale” is the lead single from his recently released EP project, The Evolution.
“Shout out to Quavo. Real humble, down-to-earth dude,” said Bobby. “We linked in through the streets. Real recognize real. He blessed me with the hook. Def looking forward to working with him again in the future.”
“When we created “Huncho Fishscale” it came naturally to both of us,” Quavo said. “He’s one of the coldest coming out of Florida right now. Then we took it to the A to shoot the video. We kept it street. Salute Bobby.”
In recent news, Bobby Fishscale received his first Time Square Billboard for the single. He made the announcement via Instagram.
“A hater go say dis fake @bet @bet_jams Thanks fa my 1st Time Sq Billboard 🤞🏿 @quavohuncho 🐐,” he wrote.
