As we all know the world is very hectic at the moment. During these tough times, soothing music can be the most therapeutic and necessary medicine possible. Up and coming Montana rapper-singer Curlyfries gives the world his smooth and calming single titled, ‘Floatin.’
Although ‘Floatin,’ initially comes off as a love song (and it is), the song’s lofty feel is the description of Curlyfries’ first time getting drunk. So, don’t hesitate to pour up the Henny while listening to this perfectly melodic track while you’re stuck inside.
Produced by Curlyfries himself, the young artist combines his gentle melodic voice and extremely vibey keys to create a perfect song for multiple settings. The first time we heard the song, we were driving down Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, and it was definitely as, ‘Wavy as the ocean.’ The song fits any romantic playlist or BBQ gathering with the homies.
Curly recruits DMack and Yung Dxtti to assist give the track a full and complete sound. With two very fitting features, ‘Floatin,’ provides listeners with an easy listen and repeatability.
At only 18 years old, Curlyfries has a solidified sound, which is not something all 18 year old artists are able to say. With that said, Curly rightfully has big ambitions to be one of the most well known artists of his generation and the best to come out of the 406.
