DEEzo | ‘I’m Ok, Thanx for Asking…’ EP Instill’s Consistency
DEEzo finally dropped the project we’ve been waiting for. The artist, who is originally from San Diego, is back with his latest project titled ‘I’m ok, Thanx for Asking…’. The artist dropped the 10 track EP on August 30 and has made it clear that this is the first of a series of consistent drops.
The entire project is a perfect blend of emotional records, unique sounds and samples, and hard beats. With slower tracks that show DEEzo’s powerful vulnerability as well as rougher sounds that show his intense focus and drive, this EP is completely raw. We hear many sides of the artist through his unique creative expression in this project.
This is definitely a hard project to pick one favorite… but, if I had to choose, one of my favorite songs is ‘I Cannot Explain (feat. Craig Dollas). Produced by Wolf, the beat is a balanced combination of soft guitar with modern sounds. Is anyone surprised by another timeless track created by this artist/producer duo?? DEEzo keeps an organic approach in making his music and uses impressive lyrics in this record to touch on his family life, mental health, and grief. DEEzo’s West Coast vibes of a melodic hook with catchy bars combined with the contrast of Craig’s deep voice and southern style rapping makes this track my favorite.
Whether DEEzo is singing a catchy hook, rapping quick bars, mumbling genius lyrics over a hard beat, he is consistently making bangers. This is someone you need to watch.
