Dezert Eagle | “Handling My Business”
Dezert Eagle’s “Handling My Business” goes in-depth about the measurements one must take in order to pursue their dreams.
Often times it requires restless nights, early mornings and working at a job that you absolutely dread. Realistically speaking though, ends need to be met in order to level up. Over a ballroom-inspired soundscape, a female songstress takes lead in a soothing note range. As the bright violin chords make way, “Handling My Business” transitions to boom-bap and Eagle gets ready to speak his piece.
Ultimately, Eagle reflects on what he must do in order to make it towards the finish line. He says while he’s “far from a devil yet far from a saint,” the lord’s work never diminishes. Eagle has faith that he’ll share his stories with the world. But in the meantime, “there’s a whole lot of product that needs to be sold.” Contrary to belief, Eagle is just trying to stack his cash. There is a bigger purpose ahead for the rhyme spitter. This line even goes to prove that there’s no ill-will in his heart “Tryna clear my head, beggin’ for forgiveness for the sin in me.” Additionally, Eagle’s delivery enhances the listen, making us feel the words instead of just hearing them.
All things considered, Eagle is in a space where he’s determined to do it big. Regardless of where his life leads, he’ll make sure that his words will impact those he crosses.
