Dezert Eagle | Weed And Hennessy
Setting the mood right for the kick back after a long day of hard work, Dezert Eagle’s “Weed and Hennessy” anonymously says through a smooth west coast bounce and harmonic ad-lib that sometimes we all have to unwind because too much stress can be a danger to our health. As living proof, Eagle even acknowledges this statement through one line, “deep in the hustle, sometimes you’ve got to climb out” because he, too understands that relaxation helps to achieve a clear and calm mind.
Referencing to its true meaning he says, “The song, inspired by the summer time, loudly proclaims themes of enjoyment, good vibes and carries a feel good energy.” And listeners are not steered wrong.
Straight down to the soundscape, they’re reminded of Snoop Dogg’s song “Gin and Juice” which, funnily enough, speaks on all work and no play. Like its unspecified twin, “Weed and Hennessy” also incorporates a hydraulic synth and a carefree 90’s feel. As the guitar chords have at it, Eagle goes to say wholeheartedly that life is about living. Like an OG, he induces a natural swagger through his slick talk and in midst of everything, we too, begin to catch a vibe.
