DZH | “No Doubt”
New Jersey-based rapper, DZH takes a walk down memory lane in his recent song, “No Doubt.”
Over the jazz-inspired soundscape, DZH reminisces about the steps he had to take so that his dreams could become a reality. Moreover, DZH pairs slick entendres with a passionate cadence and a powerful soundbite about the genre’s infinite beauty.
He says about the song,
“My message in ‘No Doubt’ is pretty simple and similar to my previous releases such as ‘a promise (freestyle),’ “can I be honest? (demo)’, and ‘Smile.’ The sound I was going for was really to encourage myself and constantly remind myself every day like “listen, you got this. Just focus. Don’t quit. Pray daily, and you’ll see the fruits of your labor in due time.”
As the tune carries on, he talks about crossing paths with fugazies and how all eyes are on him since garnering success.
DZH spits, “It’s all eyes on my attire when I step up in the room/Black on black with two chains; they think that I invented Doom.”
Elsewhere, he iterates that he refuses to settle for less. Then, he forewarns individuals who are hating from the sidelines. But instead of list out threats, he reveals, “I never been violent, guns ain’t my audience.” This excerpt goes to show that he has other ways of squashing beef. And if I were you, I wouldn’t want to find out how.
Into the second verse, the YAYA artist thinks back to specific moments where he’d put the time in to get a buck. Afterward, DZH communicates with the audience about the things he’s learned while doing some shadow work.
“I was stuck up on bad habits with less actions/Now it’s just new habits with better actions,” he raps.
Just before the song ends, DZH goes in about girls who weren’t there from the get-go.
“No Doubt” is one of those “wake up and take it all in” records. Preferably, DZH says this song should be heard while watching the sunrise on Eagle Rock Reservation.
“New Jersey is probably the best place and time to listen to “No Doubt.” Realizing that the journey ahead is indeed difficult, complicated, and probably will be all around, but with proper planning, you’ll be able to succeed. It’s meant to make you feel grateful for how far you’ve come and inspire you to do better mentally and spiritually, in my opinion.”
In the future, expect DZH to drop more singles and a project. Read his favorite one-liner and then listen to “No Doubt” below:
“I’m focused on multiplying all of my Benjamins/And I could defeat whole armies with words and I could bend ya men.”
