Gump | “Walkin’ My Shit”
Gump’s new song, “Walkin’ My Shit” integrates futuristic synths with a sporadic trap-heavy beat in means of telling others that he’s putting the work in. Since Gump has the rhymes mastered, he’s able to flex at all cost.
Furthermore, the emcee makes proper investments so that way his empire can build. Lines like “Please keep all of the change, oou I don’t do tips,” only prove that Gump is all for independence. If we’re being honest, it would only offend him if someone offered to lend a hand. Regardless of what others say, he’ll stay on his grind everyday. Hard work has an upside. For instance, Gump can say in this day and age, “I be drippin’ so hard, that I got me a pool.“
Along the track, Gump even proves his work ethic. At the 1:56 mark he says, “I been planting my seeds and they’re ready to grow/I grew from the streets, I grew from the row. Young nigga with goals and I got me some gold.” Besides this, Gump’s soundscape in “Walkin’ My Shit” exhibits hi-hats and a reverse sound effect. His rap delivery only proves that he isn’t sweating the small stuff. Calm, cool and collected Gump throws punchlines in the mix that’ll only leave opposers with a black eye if they try to cross him.
