Hoosh | “12 Weeks”
Hoosh drives his wordplay with emotional honesty in “12 Weeks.” Echoed by an acoustic guitar and trap Latin elements, the Miami-based musician details the depth of his sadness.
Leaning onto vices to cope with the woes, he sings,
“I fill a little void until it’s empty in my cup/Not to mention I am tempted to cement a harder drug/So tell me where the love.”
Although he’s big on love, Hoosh has decided to take a step back from relationships. He forewarns others before they get too close, saying
“This is not a space where you should roam/This is not a space where you should.”
In the next verse, Hoosh rap sings about shying away from coping mechanisms and using different ways to deal with his stressors.
Additionally, the artist reveals that he wants to achieve more. Although he’s successful, Hoosh is looking to extend his achievements.
“Slow down I’ve been at it too fast/I’ve been running from some troubles of the past,” he delivers. “27 this the level that I’m at/I resent it cause I know I could’ve had it.”
“Hoosh is managed by Rolling Loud Co-Founder Tariq Cherif, who also manages Ski Mask The Slump God, and DJ Scheme, but he’s not the typical rising artist you might find at Rolling Loud. Hoosh puts his all into every live show, bouncing between rapping, singing, and stage diving.”
