Huie Marley | ‘Don’t Fall’ Standout Single on Debut Album ‘Foundations’
We are going through leaps and bounds to find artists from all over the world here at Rap Fiesta. Our most recent find is emerging artist Huie Marley. Hailing from North East NSW, Australia, Huie shows tremendous promise in his music for a few reasons. Firstly, he does not subject himself to solely one genre, he writes his own music, and produces his own bangers as well.
His debut project, ‘Foundations,’ contains several different genres, all done masterfully, but one track titled, ‘Don’t Fall,’ stood out remarkably to us. Experimental is most definitely the best adjective we could use to describe Huie sonic prowess. Musically inspired by the late, great Lil Peep, as well as MGK, ‘Don’t Fall,’ is a blend of Punk, Rock, and of course, Hip Hop. The song delves into both the positive and negative consequences of taking on the introverted lifestyle of an artist. Reflecting on the last few years of his life, Huie gives a brilliant vocal performance with sprinkles of nostalgic glitter.
Although Huie generally produces most of his music, he recruited fellow artist Eden Yeigh to produce the lead guitar tracks of ‘Don’t Fall.’ Combine Huie’s strong performance and songwriting with Punk Rock guitar chords and hard hitting kicks, and we are left with an emotional ballad that gets us right in our feels.
Five years into his career, and Huie certainly has a lot of success under his belt. Previously going under the alias FRXSTY, he has accrued over 10,000,000 views on YouTube alone. Not too bad for an artist putting out their debut project.
Once the Corona Virus restrictions are lifted, expect to see a lot more from the Australian hitmaker. He intends on performing, working with artists on an international level and completing his newest project in unique Huie fashion.
Keep an eye out for Huie Marley. You’ll be enamored with what you find.
