Intelekt | “Birds.” EP, Displaying Exquisite Penmanship

Released on January 8th of this year, ‘Birds.’ is a 6 track EP loaded with confident bars, calming production and California native Intelekt’s west coast influence as he shows that his penmanship can compete with anyone.
‘Birds.’ does not take any influence from just one source, but listeners will hear the themes of politics and the consequences of greed and unfair decisions has had throughout history in this country. Intelekt is able to speak on these issues in its full truth, while each track on the EP has its own unique sound and influence to it.
Intelekt produced the entirety of ‘Birds.’ , and as the listener, you can tell the difference when an artist is fully in tune/control of the music-making progress. Each track fully embraces his talent as an artist, as he does not waste a single line, sprinkling knowledge from experiences he himself has experienced.

‘Find Light‘ is the intro track to ‘Birds.’ and Intelekt wastes no time getting right to it. The track has a mellow feel to it, perfect for Intelekt to completely shine through on this track, speaking about his personal triumphs and romantic relations. On ‘What it Seems‘, the instrumental is slightly more upbeat, but Intelekt begins to let the listener in on to what he’s going through, and how he fights the battle within himself. Harmonizing on the chorus shows off Intelekt’s vocals and gives this track a calm blend with a warm inviting feel. ‘Where We’re Headed‘ is Intelekts question to himself, as he’s going with the flow but is ready to make that leap of faith.
