Jforte | Make It Happen (Boom Bap)
Born in Tampa, Florida, and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Jforte is taking the world by storm with his recent single “Make It Happen (Boom Bap)”. With his clever bars and infectious hook, Jforte wheels and deals line after line with precision and style. He’s got the aura of rap OGs such as Mobb Deep and DMX, and the positivity in his lyrical content are inspiring to say the least. Not often does rap get blessed with this type of legendary 90s vibe in today’s era, and we at Rap Fiesta have been vibing heavy to the track ever since we heard it.
The track starts off with the hook, which rings true not just sonically but in sentiment as well. “Want something make it happen” is a motto that all of us should live by. Jforte then dives into verses that are a barrage of lyrical bullets that fire on all cylinders. The sophistication of his cadences coupled with his infectious vocals makes for a nice change of pace from the repetitiveness and catchiness of the hook. Put it all together, and it makes for one of the better rap records released in 2020 thus far.
When asked about what inspired him, Jforte responded “…having an outlet, sharing my story and expressing my truth…” Jforte also let us know a little bit about his background and how music came around into his life. He told Rap Fiesta in our exclusive interview: “…I’ve been making music since middle school. So 13+ years but I just started releasing my music online 4 months ago…” A lot of guys in the rap game go years before they develop a veteran sound like Jforte’s, so there’s no doubt he’s got a special talent. But his drive and humbleness have not stopped Jforte from having confident goals. When asked about his next moves, he responded: “…Make more music, perform around the world, make hundreds of millions/billions, use that money to build brands and new businesses, Repeat~…” You can’t knock that hustle whatsoever. That kind of mentality is infectious and inspiring for anyone.
All in all, it’s clear to us here at Rap Fiesta that not only is Jforte the real deal, but this record of his is damn good. “Make It Happen (Boom Bap)” has been resonating with rap fans across the globe, having already amassed 20k streams on Spotify alone.
