Joel Rafidi | Illusion

Allow me to re-introduce Sydney Emcee, Joel Rafidi and his come-back single, Illusion which was released Tuesday the 17th of September. You might remember him from around 2014 when he launched his debut Album, Phases when the lead single cracked commercial radio and went haywire.

Since then the Sydeysider has withdrawn, refocused and came back with a sound that is truer to himself, focusing his lyrics on personal empowerment and inner development. The single, Illusion, features smooth keys, mellow percussion, and buttery, golden era flows. Joel’s fanbase has reacted extremely well to the release, with it racking up 22,000 instagram views and around 4,000 plays on Spotify in a little over a week.
