Khalil Lyonz | ‘Pillow Talk’ , RnB For Your Soul
If you were looking for the perfect RnB album for the upcoming winter months- Khalil Lyonz and Zacc P hit the nail on the head. Their new collaboration album “Pillow Talk” is an intimate collection of songs perfect for a night in. What was meant to be Khalil Lyonz experimental solo album turned into a joint project with no misses.
From start to finish, “Pillow Talk” kept me engaged as a listener. The first song on the project is also titled “Pillow Talk.” This song details a late-night link and explores the ideas of lust, but wanting to take it slow with someone. Opening with a synth lead, light keyboard pad, and trap-inspired drums Khalil Lyonz meets the instrumental with passionate melodies. Halfway through the song, he is joined by Zacc P as they harmonize together. This marks a transition as their voices seamlessly blend. A compelling first track to say the least.
The next song on Pillow Talk, “B N Luv,” brings a different energy. Both the instrumental and vocal performances are melodic and captivating. The production centers around a deep piano, bringing in wind instruments and adding other subtle elements to the mix. The hook is extremely catchy as Khalil Lyonz and Zacc P harmonize with each other, allowing each of their voices to be heard in cohesion. These artists delve into topics surrounding temptation, feeling through intimacy, and resisting love.
Every track on this album is unique and brings the listener into a story. When Khalil Lyonz created this project, he worked with producer OnlySinger on every song, with the exception of “Can’t Compare” which was produced by Illmaestro. Again, this was intended to be a solo project, but when Rap Fiesta spoke to Khalil Lyonz, he shared,
After meeting Zacc P we literally couldn’t stop making song after song. It just flowed naturally…

Two songs on Pillow Talk provide a more upbeat and hip-hop centered vibe. “Total Bratt” and “Choosin”. Total Bratt is playful, upbeat, and is easily a song to dance to. The beat is light and both artists bring a carefree vibe to the song. ‘Choosin’ is darker, with production centered around a deep synth and heavy bass drum. This track also carries fun and confident energy. Khalil Lyonz and Zacc P provided a nice break from the more moody tunes to showcase their versatility as artists.
Concluding the album with “Middle of The Night,” Khalil Lyonz and Zacc P consistently matched each other’s energy throughout the project. This album is full of the perfect bedroom RnB tracks, but balanced with songs that will make you feel elated. In the future, Khalil Lyonz is planning on dropping music every month. He also plans on shooting music videos for tracks on “Pillow Talk.” To stay up to date with Khalil Lyonz you can follow his Instagram.
