Khalisol | “ISO,” Isolating & Switching Gears
Rap Fiesta is proud to welcome Khalisol and his latest introspective EP, “ISO,” to the scene. The six-song project takes an honest look into the up-and-coming rapper’s mind as he switched gears to better himself. From top to bottom, “ISO” is a project packed with bumpin’ rhymes, cold bars, and genuine lyrics.
The Los Angeles-based artist has been making music since the age of seven. And with about 20 years surrounding himself with the craft, Khalisol feels as if he has a strong grasp on his unique sound. The rapper has poured endless hours into finding his precise sound in order to ensure it matches who he is.
This commitment to staying true to himself allows Khalisol’s bars to come off as unapologetically honest because, well, they are. In addition to that, listeners can more easily connect with Khalisol’s sound because it’s so pure and unfiltered.
My name is Khalisol which means ‘eternal sun.’ I picked up that name at 16 when I began to step out and share my sound with the world, Khalisol, regarding the origin of his stage name.
Khalisol’s interesting stage name was one that immediately stuck before the rapper even knew the meaning. But the people closest felt the name embodied his energy, presence, and music.
And there is a very specific wave and energy Khalisol brings to his sound that’s hard to describe accurately. In addition to being extremely exquisite, Khalisol’s sound is versatile. The rapper can go from a slow-moving R&B beat to an old-school 2000s rap beat without stumbling.
Regardless of the style thrown his way, Khalisol brings a powerful energy paired with hard-hitting bars. As previously mentioned, the rapper brings honesty to every song he creates, which is poured through his lyrics.
The inspiration for Khalisol’s “ISO” was a reflection period the rapper experienced. Khalisol found himself in a transition period after getting out of a long-term relationship. And he processes his feelings through music while intentionally isolating himself from the world.
I painted these stories through experiences I was going through, good and bad, and it was something I wanted to share with the world, Khalisol.
Khalisol starts “ISO” with a lowkey rhythm paired with introspective bars that are delivered with intention and emotion. The genuine look into the rapper’s life leaves you wondering what’s next on the project.
By the end of the EP, Khalisol is hitting you with a wavy rhythm and catchy sounds in “Need To Know.” This three-and-a-half-minute track observes the rapper processing his post-breakup feelings. From start to finish, the rhythm will float through your ears and continuously engage you. And Khalisol’s bars are absolutely perfect, riding the beat’s waves in perfect harmony.
