LBezzle | ‘Lions Gate’
LBezzle‘s first-ever LP, Lions Gate, lays out the tools needed to live a prosperous and happy life. Moreover, the title symbolizes a need for change within society and the world.
He adds, “There’s like a sequence in this album that you’re really cognitive of. The whole theme of the album is to wake up. It’s a section of my life. Moreso, guidelines. I want to make an impact with everything I say. And I don’t want to say something just for the sake of it. I want to say it because I felt it, because it can help somebody.”
Within the lyrical context, listeners receive a mass of enriching messages. Amidst moments of transparency, the highly-esteemed rapper passes along gems that are guaranteed to make one look deep within themselves. Honestly, each song harbors good vibes.
Likewise, every person who gives Lions Gate an earful will feel more vigorous and in control of the future that lies ahead. LBezzle ultimately wants everyone to remember the inner power they possess. Not to mention, the New Jerseyian’s bars are A1. As the old saying goes, in a world full of copycats, be an original.
“The message is to innerstand your powers and pull it out to the forefront, or somebody is going to control you for the rest of your life. Find God. Find source. Wake up. Know that you are light, that you are infinite. Know that we’re here, that we’re dealing with things that are below us. It seems like they’re above us, but they’re not. Understand unity, understand separation,” he continues.
“Too many people are copping out, and they’re putting their dreams on the backburner. They’re putting their jobs first and dreams second. Dreams should always be first. We’re only here for a limited time only. I’m a warrior of God, and I’m here to wake up the rest of the sleep alliance. To all the other lions out there, salute to you.”
Additionally, LBezzle thanks the Most High, crediting Him as a valuable source for blessings and positive life changes. Without Him, many things would be impossible to achieve/hurdle over. In the grand scheme, Lions Gate is coated with compassion and positive affirmations. LBezzle displays a strong suit of selflessness from start to finish. Like he says in “Lyra’s Intro,” “the tune is yours to groove to.”
Tate Modern Beats, the producer for every record, keeps the energy flowing with heart-pumping instrumentals. While some beats encompass a trap-like influence, others take admiration from drill via “Come & Go (feat. Webb The Artist)” and R&B via “Sing to Me (feat. Monet).” He commends Tate Modern Beats for having an authentic sound and being a kindred spirit. Another important figure in the album’s creation is his engineer, ElevateMinds.
To deliver his verses, LBezzle dives into passionate, multi-syllable, and other versatile flows. In short, he’s spewing poetic lines.
Similarly, his favorite process while creating the album was recording with the featured musicians.
He mentions, “You got a chance to see a new world and how they record. They knew exactly how to mirror the moods.”
The rollout for Lions Gate was nothing short of amazing. For the past three months, LBezzle has dropped humorous video posts of Pops, played by Tylo The Gentleman, who goes through lengths to release details about Lions Gate. And as fate may have it, he ends up succeeding. His favorite snippet is when Pops steals his laptop and announces the producer.
Speaking about the content, he says
“I was over his [Tylo The Gentleman] house one day and was thinking of unique ways to help promote the album even further because everything that people are going to hear is that serious. So, I was like; we can do snippets of my Pops trying to leak the album and its information. It just worked so well, and people gravitated toward it, even with unity and consciousness. Bringing people together was so nice.”
Beforehand, LBezzle took intuitive flicks alongside Debonaire Aka Vandana, a model he works well and closely with. Their photos together reflect the divine feminine and sacred masculine, another characteristic found in Lions Gate. She was also in the “Fire In The Hole (feat. SB)” music video.
The “Payroll” artist enjoys every track on Lions Gate, still “EastSide’s” instrumental struck a chord. Furthermore, LBezzle resonates with “The Intro (feat. The Euphony).“
“I say what I need to say. It embodies everything I am as an artist,” he says.
One song that I’ll be breaking down is “How Many Times.”
Over the violin-led hip-hop instrumental, LBezzle addresses those who try to spread misleading information with valid fighting words.
“How you able to sleep all them lies you tell?/You can’t even sneak in the lion’s den/Your spirit is a temple King Solomon.”
After, LBezzle verbally hands them a solution that’ll help them become the best versions of themselves, saying
“Heal your trauma/Stop hiding behind your faith/Do the shadow work & shine like sun rays.”
Because the multi-hyphenate musician learned these steps earlier on, he’s constantly elevating and whole. As a result, no one is raining on his parade.
“I need to see ID to see if you ain’t CIA.”
Next, he illustrates his work ethic and voices his opinion on brainwashers. In a word, he’s sickened by the manipulation and hate. But, above all, the icon makes a true as day statement.
“God never judged us, you can save the hate.“
As the song continues, he stresses the importance of not relying on vices to get by. We soak in the history of our ancestors and other significant events that weren’t taught in school.
The song ends with LBezzle questions society’s complacent outlook on life. Ultimately, he pushes everyone to be above the earth.
So what’s next for LBezzle you say? To answer your burning questions, he’s planning more Billion Barz Club shows. Musically, he’ll be dropping some features and seven albums. No further details are available at this time. But just know it’s coming.
