These past few years have been incredible for women in music. We have seen support for women artists soar and It Girl Lexy Panterra is an artist that should be on everyone’s radar. Her new album “Baddie Vibez” gives us confidence, something that makes us want to dance, and radiates the energy of a star. Lexy showcases a new sound, inspired by Trap, RnB, and Pop, giving her fans hits to turn up to and something authentic to her true personality.
This project kicks off with her song “Die Before You Love Me” a vibrant and catchy song showcasing her energetic spirit and self-assured vibe. This track is pop-influenced with a lively guitar riff, deep synth bass, and bright drums. The layers incorporated all come together making the perfect introduction to the album. It catches and holds the listener’s attention while getting us to sing along right away. Following immediately after, “New Phone” brings in a more hip hop oriented side of her style. With heavy bass and trap drums behind it, Lexy speaks about knowing her worth and not caring about those who might try and discredit her talent. We can see this towards the middle of the song when she states,
You never thought that you would listen to me rapping tho
Bumping hard
Fucking up your stereo
They try to shade I don’t worry though
I go to sleep wake up
It’s a fucking new day hoe
