Making another appearance on Rap Fiesta’s platform is the gifted producer-rapper Ohjay and his latest EP, “Ohjay Presents“. The four-track project may be short, but that doesn’t mean it’s not exploding with talent, insane bars, and imaginative beats. Currently based in Michigan, Ohjay is a naturally creative producer and rapper. The artist has been writing songs for about 6 years. But he realized he wanted to pursue music more seriously after he’d rap for fun at parties and around friends. After having that realization, Ohjay was all gas, no brakes, as he wrote songs every day for almost half a decade.
I started producing watching my younger brother do it and got inspired by artists like Jpegmafia and El-p to indulge in the DIY approach and lean into it – Ohjay.
Each song on “Ohjay Presents” features a smooth rhythm that blends audio elements from various genres. For instance, Ohjay’s ability to mix jazz, R&B, and hip-hop influences is incredible. Each piece is balanced perfectly, and Ohjay ensures no one piece overwhelms another.

“Ohjay Presents” was primarily inspired by the artist’s everyday life and specific situations he was put through in 2023. Although this inspiration seems simple, Ohjay’s music quickly proves that his creativity is capable of highlighting the complexity and inspiration we can find in everyday life.
Additionally, Ohjay’s innate talents shine bright at every moment throughout his latest EP. The bars this Michigan rapper throws down in each song are nothing short of incredible, polished, and aesthetically pleasing. Trust us when we say that Ohjay’s rapping capabilities are just as good as his production skills.
