Tay Da Prince | ‘Love One Another’
During difficult, yet inspiring times it is quite common for us to turn to art, especially music, for guidance and answers. No artist holds the responsibility of being the voice of a people, but we at Rap Fiesta proudly commend and applaud those that do. Coming out of Springfield, Ohio up and coming artist Tay Da Prince poetically and soulfully delivers a message of love and togetherness with his newest single, ‘Love One Another.’
With over 30 people murdered in his community since 2015, Tay Da Prince strongly felt the need to respond to the violence with his song, ‘Love One Another.’ The song is an immediate call to action, encouraging people across the U.S. and the world as a whole to love one another, but not just through their words; rather, through our actions. With a powerful feature from Tay’s uncle, the one and only John Legend, the song is more than just a soulful ballad. The uplifting vocals of John Legend and the punctual, informative, and crisp execution both vocally and lyrically by Tay Da Prince make for a song everyone, no matter their race, should be required to listen too.
Self-produced by Tay, the song contains the perfect melodic structure necessary to hit any listener right in the chest. Immediately drawn in by the sentimental intro by Tay’s mother,
“You can only love your neighbor as much as you love yourself,”
The song promotes the end to violence, equal rights, and change in our communities through genuine sentiment.
Tay has been involved with music for as long as he can remember, attending rap battles as a young boy. He was exposed to the music industry and performing on stage, going on tour with his father Vaughn Anthony and John Legend. After experiencing the way both his father and uncle were able to inspire and positively impact the lives of their audiences, Tay knew he was destined to make music and make a similar impact.
With new music in the works, we can anticipate a new single and a project in the upcoming months from Tay Da Prince. Make sure to keep an eye out!
