If you haven’t heard of Teo yet, “Wings” is the song that’ll pull you in and leave you wanting more from the gifted artist.
Based in Sacramento, Teo has been making music since age 14. What initially struck his musical curiosity was learning Metallica tabs on electric guitar. From that point, the singer/songwriter found himself addicted to creating aesthetic music.
The world in my hand like lotion / can’t feel the flow cuz I’m floating, Teo.
As soon as you hit play on “Wings,” you’ll find yourself entranced. Teo makes a calm yet assertive introduction with intentional bars that carry and confident, hard-hitting vibe. From that moment, you’re eager to hear how the song will continue.
Teo’s ability to suck you in and hold your attention, whether it be through the beat, his verses, or the chorus, is something every listener simply has to appreciate.
Teo’s bars are insanely smooth-moving, hitting the ears just right. However, when you consider the fact that the artist also produced the song, you truly guage how gifted Teo is.
The beat featured in “Wings” is a collected bop fueled by hip-hop-inspired drums and ethereal audio elements. At some points, the rhythm feels subtle, steadily complimenting the cold bars Teo effortlessly layers over them. At other points, you get more of a glimpse into the intricate balance the beat carries.
Overall, Teo balances where your focal point is drawn throughout the song. And this aspect creates an easy-moving track that’s simply enjoyable to listen to.
I was overthinking everything in my life, and one day I just decided to turn on my beat machine and start playing anything, Teo, regarding the inspiration behind his song.
“Wings” was inspired by a particularly low point in Teo’s life. After various music opportunities fell through, the artist found himself in a deep internal struggle. Teo soon found himself in a six-month slump where he lacked the motivation to create anything.
However, the producer eventually pulled himself up and started making a beat “just to feel something.” What started as a method to get out of a slump led to connecting with WESTSIDE BOOGIE and creating a fire beat for “Wings.”
I wanted people to know me for me and my name and not by an alias. It’s also an acronym for ‘Third Eyes Open’ because I believe everyone has the power to awaken their third eye, Teo, regarding the origin of his stage name.
We can’t go without recognizing WESTSIDE BOOGIE’s appearance on “Wings.” The elite rapper delivers an emotive story-telling experience using innovative flows and genuine lyrics. The vibe fits with Teo’s in perfect harmony, making “Wings” that much better.
Make sure you give Teo a follow on Instagram because the ambitious rapper has several goals he’ll undoubtedly achieve in the future.
