Tony Cole | “Freeze Dried.”, A Sonic Chronicle of Transformation
Originally hailing from Milwaukee, WI, artist Tony Cole invites listeners into a raw and immersive exploration of personal evolution with his new EP Freeze Dried., released on March 28, 2025. The six-track project is more than just a collection of songs—it’s a reflective journal disguised in melodies, beats, and bars, capturing the turbulence and growth that reshaped his inner and outer world over the past year.
Inspired by moments of abrupt and often uncomfortable transformation, Freeze Dried. draws a parallel between Cole’s life and the actual scientific process the project is named after.
“When I learned what freeze drying really is—rapid exposure to extreme cold, followed by low pressure, then intense heat—it clicked. That’s what I had gone through emotionally, mentally, and spiritually,” – Tony Cole
“Everything changed so quickly, but somehow I remained intact—altered, yes, but still me.”
That metamorphosis is evident from the opening track, Fall Fly., produced by Arcane. Over ethereal production, Cole sings with quiet defiance, reflecting on the liberation that comes from letting go of someone or something that once felt essential. It’s a graceful refusal to be tethered to the past.
On One More Go., Lucien Loven’s production introduces spatial, mystic textures that elevate Cole’s vocal experimentation. The track is a sonic journey, where he becomes more than a person—he’s an idea, a rising figure mounting toward something greater.
Loven also produced Yourself., a stripped-back, emotionally transparent track that holds up a mirror to the listener. Meanwhile, Perspective., produced by Saint Mike, shifts the tone into a more introspective realm. The natural, calming melodies create the perfect bed for Cole’s thoughtful rapping as he confronts doubt—both internal and external.
“People have doubted me, misunderstood me. But that doesn’t stop growth. If anything, it fuels it.”
N A S A., the only track produced by Cole himself, is a standout moment of sonic ambition—an interstellar metaphor for ambition, isolation, and the vastness of human emotion. Closing the project is Freeze Dried., produced by EerieSkies, which ties everything together thematically and emotionally. It’s a final stamp of what the EP represents: survival, transformation, and preservation of self.
Tony Cole has been making music for years, but it wasn’t until 2018 that he began sharing his creations with the world. Choosing the pseudonym “Tony Cole” was a meaningful decision—his middle name followed by his first—a symbol of crafting something new while remaining deeply authentic.
As Freeze Dried. continues to circulate, fans can expect music videos, performances, and more content throughout the year. With this EP, Cole has solidified his artistic identity—not as someone trying to be heard, but as someone who must be. And now that his structure has been preserved, his next era promises to burn even brighter.
