twoEazy | Electrifying New EP, Proceed with Caution
Hip-hop artist Eazy Bellucci AKA twoEazy, hailing from the vibrant East Bay area of California, has dropped a sonic masterpiece that deserves all the applause: his new EP, “Proceed with Caution“. This project dives deep into the essence of self-discovery, rebellion, and transformation, bringing listeners on an introspective journey set to the backdrop of gritty beats, booming basslines, and lyrical finesse. With influences ranging from 90s East Coast rap to West Coast gangster rap and punk rap, twoEazy’s EP is a tribute to the resilience and authenticity that define his artistry.
twoEazy describes Proceed with Caution as a narrative inspired by his high school experiences. “I wrote about the challenges of growing up and how harmful it is to hide behind a mask, trying to be something you’re not,” twoEazy explains. “It’s about the journey of discovering who you indeed are and realizing how much more valuable it is to be yourself than to pretend for others.”
The EP is a bold reflection of the artist’s growth, blending his personal struggles with anthems of redemption and empowerment. Tracks like “Back From Tha Dead” featuring Ryan KJ exude raw energy, capturing the highs and lows of finding one’s voice in a world that often demands conformity.
twoEazy’s sound pays homage to hip-hop legends such as LL Cool J, Run DMC, Jay-Z, Ice Cube, and Salt-N-Pepa. He infuses his tracks with a touch of cinematic flair, drawing inspiration from cult classics like Kill Bill and Almost Famous. The result? A project that merges old-school boom-bap rhythms with a fresh, rebellious punk rap edge.
“I wanted to bring an Old Skool vibe with my twist… The sound connects directly to my high school experience of feeling timid, where I felt the need to wear a mask to fit in.”
twoEazy’s production prowess shines throughout the EP, with him taking the reins on most tracks. Collaborating with Nigma Beats on “Back From Tha Dead,” twoEazy added his own unique flair, proving his ability to seamlessly blend his vision with outside influences.
“Prom Night” is another record on the project that is an absolute must listen. It’s straight up spine-tingling and will send you on an audible rollercoaster. His ability to weave through pockets like a tailor on a Saturday only sheds an inkling of his talent. This track in particular is a club banger.
twoEazy’s stage name is a reflection of his evolution as an artist. Starting as a DJ at just 11 years old, remixing tracks to suit his style, twoEazy has spent over a decade perfecting his craft. His name, Eazy Bellucci, is a tribute to the ballroom queer scene, where “houses” act as safe spaces for creativity and expression.
“Thinking if I created a house, what would that house be called? After explaining the concept to my dad, he suggested ‘Bellucci,’ inspired by the Italian actress and model Monica Bellucci. Putting it together, Eazy Bellucci was perfect.”
The name encapsulates his vision: creating a space for himself and others to feel seen, heard, and celebrated.
Proceed with Caution is just the beginning. twoEazy teases that this EP is “only the appetizer until the main course.” With plans to release more singles and a follow-up project titled The Running Joke, twoEazy is primed to take his artistry to the next level.
“This EP is chapter one, and I’m incredibly excited to have people hear what I’ve been working on for YEARS. My goal is to inspire those like me,” twoEazy shares.
twoEazy’s Proceed with Caution isn’t just an EP—it’s a declaration. A declaration of authenticity, self-expression, and resilience. It’s a project that reminds listeners of the power of staying true to oneself while navigating life’s twists and turns.
With his unmistakable charisma, unparalleled production skills, and knack for storytelling, twoEazy proves he’s a force to be reckoned with in the hip-hop world.
