Ursa The Chef | Super Saucy Single ‘Rigatoni’ With Mick Jenkins
Ursa the Chef, as his names suggests, has been cooking lately. The Chicago artist moved to Los Angeles to pursue his dream and has been making moves left and right ever since. Clearly hyper focused with an admirable work ethic, he stepped his game up a notch and teamed up with a very notable artist on his last drop. His pasta-themed single ‘Rigatoni ‘ with power house Mick Jenkins plays right into his persona of a culinary aura in hip-hop. They definitely ‘sauced up’ on this joint, as Mick Jenkins so cleverly gleams this wordplay routinely in the chorus.
Donkey Kong go bananas on em. Ape shit hit the panic button
Mick sets up Ursa perfectly with the chorus feeling like an alley oop into Ursa’s verse. That perfect assist might trick you into thinking that Mick Jenkins was Steve Nash and Ursa The Chef was Amare Stoudamire on the recipient end. A seamless combination of adroitly placed hooks paired with powerful energy results in this spirited joint. On the production end, the heavy bass provides the core of the beat moving the sound robustly, and will have you subconsciously wondering why you are jumping up and down barbarically with no other explanation other than you have been infected with a hype track. After one listen, you wont be able to find a vaccine for what you just experienced. The track was co-produced by Joni Green Tea and Fishman! who worked together to capitalize on this masterful production. The meticulous engineering and recording of the track was done at the brand new GreenTeaStudios in Los Angeles.
