whiterosemoxie | “whts rght”
By following his own path, whiterosemoxie was destined to do “whts rght.”
Lyrically executing those beneath him, he commands attention by switching between a crisp and melodic delivery. The dark electronic house production with minimalistic elements is a sweet touch.
Themes of loyalty follow him even in personal relationships. From the jump, whiterosemoxie is transparent about ensuring he and his day ones eat.
In the chorus, he spits:
“Riding with it, I was that type of n***a/To make the sh*t right for n***as/To pull up at night for n***as, they needed me/I’m right there with it we was riding with it/I parked the Benz in the back/We brought the hype in with us.”
Instead of being surrounded by different faces, he remains a one-man show. His reasoning for riding solo to progress stems from encountering shady behavior.
Whiterosemoxie raps, “I forgot to notice that/Everybody that’s around me showing me the fake love/Had to get myself up out the way before it ain’t none/Independent ain’t none, everybody take some.”
By the second verse, the Human Behavior artist shows others why staying true to yourself is most important.
“I choose what I love over what is right, for life,” he expresses. “I do what I want over what is nice.”
His retaliation against the norm breaks down all barriers meant to destroy him. Similarly, “whts rght” finds the musician straying from the flock.
In a passionate style, whiterosemoxie says
“Blood in the air feel in it in my nose/Lust in the air/Smell it in my clothes/I got somewhere to be I gotta go/If I spill it on my jeans I’m out a roll/And then I’m out the door.”
The song is accompanied by a visual directed by Detroit’s Keenan Wetzel.
