WithLoveXavier | ‘This is Fine’
WithLoveXavier is a musician who doesn’t shy away from extending his heart past the notepad. Reciting lyrics off the brain, he shares a part of himself when he’s on the microphone.
“I want to be a person who inspired people to love each other and care for one another through music and actions.”
The themes in his music, nine times out of ten, resonate with all walks of life. WithLoveXavier opens up about his trials and tribulations and former experiences that have made him who he is today. Subsequently, he goes against the saying of R&B being dead. Listening in, you’ll come to know that he carries a superb register that’s crystalline and enticing.
WithLoveXavier can’t recall a time where he wasn’t around music. In actuality, he’s been mesmerized by various melodies and tunes since he was young.
“Music has always been a part of my life.” he adds, “My parents surrounded me with music every day growing up. From my mom playing freestyle music in the early Sunday mornings when she was getting ready to clean the house, or when my dad used to blast heavy metal whenever his friends came over to hang, I was that kid surrounded by different genres of music.”
WithLoveXavier describes his sound as melodic, loving, and relatable. The mastery from his art stems from freestyles and building a story around it. One accomplishment he’s proud of thus far is having his own Billboard on Times Square. Being a kid from Brooklyn, he often dreamed of being on that big screen on 42nd street. WithLoveXavier says it was a dream come true.
His latest project, This is Fine, tells a tale of a man that’s mesmerized by a beautiful goddess with concealed insecurities. Instead of being dismissive, WithLoveXavier attempts to get to the bottom of things. After all, is it really love if one can give up so easily? At the same token, the singer expresses what he looks for in a partner. No drama. No games. Just good vibes, a strong connection, and loyalty.
Explaining the record in more detail, he says
“We wanted to project a very chill laid back track that will surely grasp your ears. It’s about being with this girl you care for. She can be a tad jealous and, at times sus, wanting to check her man’s phone while he’s being honest and is only worried about her.”
Sonically, the album garners inspiration from R&B, afrobeat, pop, and even drill! Honestly, the 8-track effort is one you won’t want to stop listening to. One of the songs also includes a short excerpt from Ne-Yo.
This month, WithLoveXavier plans on dropping a visual for his summer-driven single, “Lover Bestie (feat. PriyaTheMystic).” Unlike the newer tracks that push love interests to get between the sheets, he takes a step back, expressing that you have to get to know someone before jumping their bones. The theme this song carries is truthfully admirable and refreshing. Over the afrobeat meets pop offering, he sings
“No drama, don’t stress me, no need to rush/God sent you baby bless me.”
As the song continues, he explains that love is more than a yearning for love-making and lavish gifts.
“I sell you love in many ways/Baby it’s not just sex and diamond rings.“
In the end, he assures his lady that he’s here for the long haul.
PriyaTheMystic uses an ethereal vocality says that she’ll stay by her beau’s side if he treats her right. But “even if we gotta go/The memories are gonna show.“
PriyaTheMystic sings,
“Please don’t waste my time/Don’t stress me/Only want it if you always gonna bless me/Fuck being messy/I’m tryna get messy with you.”
Before the song ends, WithLoveXavier lists what he looks for in a partner.
“Facetime me, I don’t do no texting/Take time see why I’m always stressing/If you want me to be your man take time to understand,”
Overall, the two showcase a perfect blend of harmonies. Moreover, they share some common ground when expressing what they want out of a future bae.
