Wrkinsilence | ‘Excommunicado’ Cutting Off the Doubters
After putting out a couple of singles throughout the summer, up and coming artist Wrkinsilence is back with his newest single titled, ‘Excommunicado.’
The rapper addresses his haters and doubters right from the jump: ‘I walk around with a list full of people, that didn’t fuck with me when I was zero.’ While melodically gliding throughout the song, the rising star shows his potential as he has drawn comparisons to artists such as Trippie Redd, Post Malone, and other lofty-voiced hybrid singing rappers.
When asked about the depth of the song, Wrkinsilence had this to say:
‘Now that I have started to build a slight buzz for myself, the same people that have doubted me from the start are coming back into my life with expectations. They don’t expect money from me, or any materialistic possessions, but instead they expect a blueprint and advice on how they themselves can get known in music. No one gave me game.’
The song possesses eerie and dark keys giving Wrkinsilence the perfect platform to flex with his well-delivered vocals. The artist does something a lot of new artists don’t: He allows the beat to breathe and do a lot of the talking.
With more on the way, and recently being featured in Amazon Music’s editorial playlist, ’Introducing R&B,’ the masked rapper is set to release new music in the near future. Be on the lookout.
