On Rap Fiesta today we’ll be bringing back a solid storytelling lyricist in the game: Young Bail and breaking down his newest song, “Same Thing (feat. Mirak).”
“Same Thing” is an Afrobeat offering that centers on silky harmonies and Young Bail‘s infatuation with another woman. Rather than strategizing on how to get in her sheets, the rapper uses his signature raspy voice to express how he’d like to know her better. “Most would want to hit it, just to see what them thighs like/Tryna hit that, knowing that the times right,” he spits. As the song continues, the “Nuclear” lyricist envisions forthcoming intimate moments and takes into account that tomorrow isn’t promised. Case in point, he aims to seize every moment.
Elsewhere, Young Bail goes bar-for-bar, saying he’ll do anything for his queen. Regardless of her envious friends, Young Bail plans on sticking around. “They just jealous/Tryna creep through saying ‘what happened’/Reason why you outside, smiling, laughing.” Before the song closes, Young Bail says he’ll go at whatever pace she wants to. His flow crossovers between a bouncy and singsong one.
