Zaydo | Art of Resilience, Breathes Originality
California is on fire again with North Cal’s very own Zaydo blazing the Hip-Hop scene. His brand new album ‘Art of Resilience‘ is 14 tracks of pure bangers along with a mixed bag of love, pain, and honest emotions. The title ‘Art of Resilience’ was cleverly selected as throughout the album the artist takes you through his mind and displays the prowess he developed in handling any obstacle that comes his way.
The first track off the album, ‘Heard It All (Intro)‘ comes in hard with a flow that cannot be denied. The sweet, bouncy melody mixed with the natural ambient production looms perfectly in the listeners conscious. As soon as the beat drops, Zaydo starts shinning. He jumps on the beat with a confidence that is infectious, and it will have you feeling like the shit, for lack of better terms. ‘Heard It All ‘ is a declaration for Zaydo that shows he is unaffected by those who try him, he is unimpressed. He essentially ‘heard it all before’. Right from the jump, we love the energy. The rest of the project follows this trend of pure meaning.
Tale of 2 cities, I don’t stay in Trump Tower
The 4th track ‘Danger‘ off of ‘Art of Resilience‘ swings in strong with a cadence that depicts emotion and flirts along the dangers of love. The undertones on the verse show that Zaydo can step out of his comfort zone of rapping and display some serious melodic tonality. This track is jam packed with a variety of flows that seamlessly intertwine, and blend to create a beautiful harmony that shadows his obsession with experiencing the downfalls of a mishandled love. The track can also be analyzed as an open letter to his past love. Zaydo openly admits that his love is dangerous, and this acknowledgement allows him the closure he deserves by confirming his affirmation of why he lost his past love. This is a lesson we can all learn from turmoiled relationships. If you love something, let it go.
Now you see my absence as a favor
