Zaydo | ‘Shades In The Rain’ EP Demarcates Perseverance
Rap Fiesta favorite Zaydo is back with another project. His brand new EP ‘Shades In The Rain‘ is 8 tracks of mellifluous reverence, while painting a clear painting of Zaydo’s evolution from his last project, ‘Art of Resilience‘ that was dropped in June 2019. Most artists drop an album and then disappear, it’s very rare to see an artist drop 2 albums 6 months apart from each other. This only goes to show you how hungry the North Cal artist is. He’s not waiting for an opportunity. He is creating one with this project.
The 8 track EP brings you in to the new year with an enlightened intro so cleverly titled ‘20/20 Vision‘. Zaydo skillfully employs a controlled flow & hearty bars in his verses, only to switch it up on the chorus by showing you a keen ability to sing- essentially solidifying his presence as a double threat. The San Francisco artist not only has the ability to craft an euphonious work of art, but also possesses the ability to attach meaning to it. This track sets the tone for the entire EP. Zaydo wants you to feel his perseverance. He lets this be known in his hook when he spits, ’20/20 Vision I just gotta see it through’
First take, Stephen A. Whatchu gon die for? ‘
Another favorite off ‘Shades In The Rain‘ from the San Fransisco creator is ‘Final Hour‘. He never ceases keeping interest from his listeners due to staying multifaceted. You want witty bars? He’s got it. You want an infectious chorus? Check that off too. You can listen to this joint with the intent of dissecting every bar, or you can bump this casually while soaking in the value. These staggering rap verses, mixed with an R&B appeal are are the type of tracks that make a project stand out. This tune is definitely one that needs proper praise.
